Nutrition with LuckyFit
The nutrition and fitness program, which LuckyFit is based on, was developed by the eminent dietologist prof. Bozhidar Popov, chairman of the Bulgarian Scientific Association of Nutrition and Dietetics.
The program is oriented towards lasting weight reduction, but not by means of hard diets or food deprivation.
The main formula of success is the relation:
Low-energy balanced nutritional regimen + increased motional activity = Optimal lasting reduction of weight
According to the conducted researches and tests, the relation between right way of feeding and physical activity leads to actual and considerable results – loss of more than 20% of the body weight for one year by many clients, and even more by some of them.
The effect of weight reduction is accompanied by other results, which are significant for health: reduction of cholesterol level, lower blood pressure, lowered risk of cancerous formations, less problems in cardio-vascular and digestive functions, rarer headaches, more energy in the organism, and many other positive effects.
According to the research of prof. Popov the things that are obstructive to the reduction of body weight and to the good health are:
- Insufficient breakfast
- Insufficient physical activity
- Insufficient consumption of foods, containing fibres
- Consumption of too much paste products (for example bread) and sugars
- Consumption of too much fats
- Insufficient consumption of vegetables
- Rich dinner directly before sleep
- Impaired metabolism
We offer to your attention four principles, which will help you to start the weight-loss program:
Food:
- Eat minimum 25 grams vegetable fibres daily.
- Avoid the consumption of fat meat, sausages, animal fats, pastry, white rice, sugars – cakes, sweetened drinks, wafers and chocolates.
- Substitute artificial sweeteners for sugar in coffee and tea.
- Cut back on fats, use maximum 1 tablespoon of olive oil per meal.
- Cut back on full-cream milk and cheese.
- Feed on a lot of vegetables, low-fat milk and cheese, white meats – chicken and fish, beef fillet, grilled or roasted; as to fruit, consume only green apples, water melon, cherries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, orange and grapefruit.
- Consume foods rich in “slow” carbohydrates: full-grain bread and pastry, boiled or roasted potatoes without oil, wild rice.
- Reduce to the lowest possible extent the consumption of salt and salty foods.
Water:
- Pure water is the most recommendable and effective liquid.
- Drink sufficient water every day (minimum 2 liters), so that your urine becomes colorless.
Nutritional regimen:
- Breakfast should be had from 30 to 60 minutes after getting up and it should contain at least 10 grams of vegetable fibres.
- Lunch and dinner should contain at least one plate of vegetables.
Activity:
- Daily physical activity - during the week different exercises for cardio-vascular activity, for flexibility and for strength are combined.
- Exercise physical activity for 25 minutes after the last meal for the day.
